Pregabalin 75 is an anticonvulsant and anti-epileptic medication. It works by slowing down the brain impulses that cause seizures. Pregabalin also alters brain chemicals that send pain signals throughout the neurological system. Pregabalin is used to treat fibromyalgia pain, nerve pain in people with diabetes (diabetic neuropathy), herpes zoster (post-herpetic neuralgia), and spinal cord injury. Pregabalin is also used in conjunction with other medications to treat fractional starting seizures in adults and children over the age of one month. Make every effort not to discontinue this medicine without first consulting with your primary care physician. Certain problems may worsen if this medication is abruptly discontinued. You may also have symptoms such as difficulty sleeping, nausea, headache, and diarrhoea. To alleviate these symptoms as you discontinue therapy with this medication, your doctor may gradually reduce your dose. Any new or devastating adverse effects should be reported immediately.
